Victor Vance is often remembered as the man who dies in the opening minutes of the original Vice City. Vice City Stories gives him the spotlight he deserved.
A protagonist with a reason
Vic is driven by responsibility rather than greed. He enters the criminal world to pay for his brother Pete’s medical care, which gives his story a surprisingly human core.
Tragedy baked in
Because players already know his fate, every victory in Vice City Stories carries a bittersweet tone. Few GTA games build that kind of dramatic irony into their structure.
Vic may not be the loudest GTA hero, but he is one of the most memorable once you know his full story.
