Every few months a new rumor claims a Vice City Stories remaster is on the way. Here is a calm look at what is actually known and what is simply fan hope.
The facts
Vice City Stories launched on PSP in October 2006 and arrived on PlayStation 2 in 2007. It was developed by Rockstar Leeds together with Rockstar North and remains one of the best-selling PSP games.
The rumors
Most rumors come from anonymous posts and wishlists. None has been backed by an official announcement, a rating board listing or a store page.
A good rule: if it is not on an official channel, it is not confirmed.
Our take
Demand is clearly there. Whether Rockstar acts on it is another question entirely.
Until then, the original remains fully playable on its original hardware — and still holds up remarkably well.
